Sporting Ennistymon 3 Mountshannon Celtic 4
MOUNTSHANNON Celtic secured a valuable win in their race for promotion from Division 1 when they overcame Sporting Ennistymon at Lisdoonvarna on Sunday.
The winners were 2-0 in front at half-time, thanks to goals from John Bugler and Martin McNamara and stretched their advantage to three early in the second half through John Moloney.
The home side mounted a revival and scored twice through a John McInerney header and a Shane Keane penalty before Mountshannon struck again through Paul Dooley, who scored from the penalty spot.
Sporting Ennistymon rallied again and they had a third from David Lyons but time wasn’t on their side and the visitors held on for an important win.
