Dooley in election preparation mode

Following his re-election as vice president of Fianna Fáil, Deputy Timmy Dooley has said it is an important role and “will be increasingly so, as we continue with our policy development and election preparations.” Deputy Dooley, who serves on the frontbench as Spokesperson on Transport, Tourism and Sport, topped the poll in the Ard Comhairle elections at the Ard Fheis. Party members also elected Clare native Garrett Greene to the party’s Ard Chomhairle and will serve on the new Committee of 15. Garrett is a university law tutor and trainee barrister. He is also a member of Coiste 1916, the committee planning the party’s programme of events to commemorate the centenary of the Easter Rising. “Clare Fianna Fáil members will be well represented by Garrett and myself at the monthly national executive meetings, the main governing body of the party when an Ard Fheis is not in session,”said Deputy Dooley.
