Clare firms named among Ireland’s Best Managed Companies

TWO Clare companies have been awarded Ireland’s Best Managed Companies accolades at the 14th annual awards programme, led by Deloitte in association with Bank of Ireland. Amongst the winning companies this year were Modular Automation in Shannon and TTM Healthcare Solutions in Ennis. The companies requalified as winners at the awards for 9 and 11 years in a row respectively. This year, Deloitte recognised 136 indigenous companies at the awards representing 25 of the 32 counties across Ireland. This is the first year where the awards programme returned as an in-person event following the pandemic and culminated with a gala awards ceremony at The Convention Centre Dublin. The network of companies has a combined turnover of €13.9 billion providing over 51,000 jobs across Ireland across a range of sectors – from retail and hospitality to manufacturing and construction. Flexible learning showcase in Shannon at Modular Automation

SHANNON Chamber is joining forces with the Mid-West Regional Skills Forum and Modular Automation to host an event that will showcase the wide range of Government-funded flexible learning courses available in the region. The event will be held in Modular Automation in Shannon on Thursday, September 22 from 9.30am to 12.30pm. The event is free of charge to attend but online booking is required via Shannon Chamber’s website www.shannonchamber.ie/events-training Its purpose is to ensure that that the Mid-West region continues to have a highly skilled and trained workforce, given that talent is now the determining factor for companies to maintain competitiveness. Modular Automation unveils €3m Shannon expansion

Modular Automation, a leading supplier of automation solutions for Medical Device and Technology multinationals,has opened a €3m expansion at its Shannon plant. The enhanced facility, which was constructed by Nautic Building Co and designed by architect Noel Kerley, was unveiled on Monday by Enterprise Ireland CEO Julie Sinnamon. he expansion doubles the company’s footprint in Shannon to 50,000 sq. ft., and includes a state of the art Innovation Centre and Technology Lab. The new Innovation Centre strengthens Modular Automation’s position as the preferred partner in the delivery of high performance automation and robotics solutions for its growing client base. This project is part of a strategic growth plan, which also involved the opening of a subsidiary in Florida in 2015, and coincides with the company’s 30-year business anniversary.
