CLARE Gardaí are continuing to use all available resources to mount high visibility patrols and checkpoints throughout the county to implement public health measures. As part of the Covid-19 Policing Plan, crime prevention officer, Sergeant Triona Brooks revealed these high visibility patrols are to provide re-assurance and advice to the public. Sergeant Brooks encouraged the public to adhere to the guidelines around staying home and when getting exercise do not go more than two kilometres from their dwelling while at all times maintain social distancing of two metres between the nearest person. “The vast majority of the public are continuing to comply with the guidelines and gardaí fully expect that to continue. Clare Gardaí want to thank those who are complying and ask them to continue this. “If necessary, Clare Gardaí will intervene where venues and outlets are not in compliance or where groups of people are not adhering to recommended measures. “Our priority at all times is to keep …
