Cliffs and schools team up to spread Christmas cheer

The Cliffs of Moher Experience and two North Clare schools are continuing their Christmas tradition of sending some love to local care home residents. Pupils of Liscannor National School and Mol an Óige Steiner National School in Ennistymon are visiting the residents of St Dominic Savio Nursing Home in Liscannor and Ennistymon Community Hospital to perform Christmas carols and spread some Christmas cheer. The children of Liscannor NS children visited Liscannor Nursing Home last week, while this week children from Mol an Óige Community NS visited Ennistymon Community Hospital. “Christmas is about reaching out with compassion, staying connected and sending love to each other,” says Melanie Lennon, Sales and Marketing Manager, Cliffs of Moher Experience. “This is the third year running that we have undertaken this community initiative with the schools, and it is lovely to see both the children and the residents enjoying it so much.”  The Craft and Gift store (Shannon Heritage) and the Cliffs View Café, operated by Brambles, …

Cliffs and Aillwee ‘great places to work’ as well as visit

EVERYONE knows the Cliffs of Moher and Aillwee Burren Experience are great places to visit and according to their staff, they’re great places to work too. Both of North Clare’s most popular attractions have been awarded the Great Place to Work Certification for 2022. The certification is awarded based on the results of a survey completed recently by the staff at both organisations. Great Place to Work® provides independent company assessments based entirely on employees’ feedback about their workplace experience. The Cliffs of Moher Experience has received the certification for the second year running and improved its overall score from last year. Some of the highlights from the survey included 98% of staff believing the Cliffs is committed to diversity and inclusion. Global tour operators get flavour of Clare in London

A NUMBER of Clare tourism attractions and companies were in London recently promoting the Banner at the ‘Flavours of Ireland’ 2022 expo. Representatives from Caherconnell Fort and Sheepdog Demonstrations, the Cliffs of Moher Visitor Experience, Doolin Ferry Company, Secret Ireland Escapes (based in Killaloe), Shannon Ferries and Trump International Golf Links & Hotel Doonbeg were among 60 Irish tourism companies present. ‘Flavours’ is Tourism Ireland’s annual B2B tourism workshop, where tourism companies from Ireland meet and do business with top global inbound tour operators. Now in its 20th year, ‘Flavours’ took place in the Guildhall, in the City of London, and was attended by around 100 global inbound tour operators who deliver business from all over the world, including the United States, Mainland Europe, Asia, Australasia and Africa. ‘Flavours’ provided an excellent opportunity for the participating tourism providers from Clare to highlight and sell their tourism product and build valuable relationships with the key decision-makers in attendance.
