By Seamus Hayes For this Sunday’s Allianz hurling league tie between leaders Clare and Galway at Cusack Park, the Clare management team has named a team that shows six changtes in personnel from the side which started against Waterford last week. Into the team come Patrick Kelly, Jack Browne, Paul Flanagan, Colm Galvin, Shane Golden and Tony Kelly and they will replace Donal Tuohy, David McInerney, Pat Donnellan, Colin Ryan, John Conlon and Conor McGrath. In the case of Ballyea’s Jack Browne, this will be his first taste of league action. Last year’s All-Ireland winning goalie Patrick Kelly will start his first league game this season. Regular wing back Pat O’Connor will partner Colm Galvin at midfield for this tie. Domhnaill O’Donovan, one of the All-Ireland final heroes, is named for his first start since his memorable performances in Croke Park last September. He will play in his regular corner back spot in place of the injured Seadna Morey. By Seamus Hayes Twelve members of Clare’s All-Ireland final replay starting line up have been named in the starting team to face Kilkenny at Cusack Park in the opening round of the Allianz league on Sunday Left out of the side from the September line up are goalkeeper Pa Kelly, defender Domhnaill O’Donovan, hero of the drawn tie having scored the equalising point in injury time, and forward Podge Collins who was one of the three nominees from which the hurler of the year was chosen. There had been speculation in recent weeks as to whether or not Collins would be included in the side following his decision to join the senior football panel this season. After two rounds of the football league, Clare are unbeaten and Collins has played a key role in helping them to a win and a draw.
