Ruan prove too strong for Bodyke

The home side proved too strong for Bodyke in a high-scoring division 2B tie at Ruan with full-forward John Punch contributing three goals.

The winners had their fourth goal from Eoin Hanrahan on their way to a second successive win in the campaign.

Smith O’Briens made it four wins from four starts when they beat Sixmilebridge in away on Sunday.
The Killaloe outfit led the home side 1-8 to 0-8 at half time and continued the hold a slight edge in the second half.
They finished the game with 14 men after defender Ian O’Halloran was sent off on a straight red card.
Seamus Gleeson, Shane Tuohy, Pat Ahern, Seanie Conway, Shane O’Brien and Pat Vaughan did well for the winners.

Clarecastle scored their first win of the campaign when they overcame the challenge of Killanena in a hard fought tie at Killanena on Sunday.
Just a point separated the teams at half time when the home side led 0-7 to 0-6.
In the second half Clarecastle had goals from Barry Lyons and from substitute Ken Ralph who converted a penalty. Mark Flaherty scored both of his team’s goals.

Feakle returned to winning ways when they overcame Ogonnelloe in this tie played at the latter’s venue on Sunday.
They led by two points at half time when the score was 1-5 to 0-6. Feakle’s goalscorers were Robert Bebbington and Sean McGrath while John McKenna and Jamie Cunnane had the goals for Ogonnelloe.
