Niland to perform in Glór

WITH raw, edgy lyrics and explosive guitar work, which is steeped in the flamenco and folk rock tradition, Albert Niland has created his own unique sound and will play in the Glór foyer on Thursday evening.

Best known for his acoustic version of Wuthering Heights, from his debut album Dirty Day, he has gone on to record six solo albums and build a loyal fanbase throughout Europe.

He has performed at the prestigious Naked Song Festival in Holland, the International Guitar Festival in France, the Essaion Theatre in Paris and recorded a live album in the Paradiso in Amsterdam in 2008.

Having collaborated with Freddie White on numerous occasions, both live and in recordings and having been invited to perform at both Planxty reunions, as well as with Moving Hearts in 2007, he has earned the respect of his peers.
