During the evening, the members of a selection of county title-winning squads were presented with their medals in the presence of club members, supporters and families of all involved.
Francis McInerney, captain of the Clare team which won the Munster senior football title in 1992, was the special guest on the night. The Doonbeg man paid tribute to all and urged them to continue to promote the games of football, camogie and hurling.
Marie Louise Kaiser, on behalf of the ladies’ football club, congratulated all involved in the many successes achieved by the underage players from the clubs as did Joe Pender from the GAA club and Sinead Keogh on behalf of the camogie club.
