Clare Love the Life is the first of several promotions being hosted by the Clare Tourism Forum in 2011.
The promotion is aimed at raising the profile of the Clare Tourism Forum and generating additional marketing funds to promote the County in 2011.
Joe Russell, the newly appointed chairperson of the forum, explained that the initiative is an opportunity to focus on the marketing of Clare and to strengthen the collective approach that is in operation to promote the County.
“As part of our ongoing campaign to market County Clare, we are running several events throughout the year to help raise funds to promote our county’s strong tourism product.
“The first of these events is a Valentine’s Clare Love the Life coffee morning promotion. A chocolate and raspberry muffin, made locally from local County Clare produce, will be given out with a cup of coffee at several selected premises throughout the county on Valentine’s Day. Each of the participating premises has agreed to sponsor the coffee free of charge for the day and we will provide a muffin, which will be offered complimentary as an added extra.
“We hope that any monies normally used to pay for the coffee will be donated to the Clare Tourism Forum’s Marketing Fund,” added Mr Russell.
Coffee mornings will be held this Valentine’s weekend in various towns and villages throughout Clare including Ennis, Shannon, Ennistymon, Kilrush, Scariff, Spanish Point, Doonbeg and Ballyvaughan.
