Lissycasey get off the mark in fine style


Lissycasey  2-12   Cratloe  0-10

Lissycasey recorded their first win of the season in the Garry Cup when they accounted for Cratloe on their home pitch on Sunday.

 

Playing with the aid of the breeze in the first half, the home side built up a six point lead, 0-9 to 0-3, with some excellent scores from David Considine, Danny Lynch, Paul Nagle, Daniel Clohessy and Gerard Murphy, while Cratloe’s first-half replies came from Cathal McInerney, Conor McGrath and David Ryan.
The visitors had the first point of the second half but then Lissycasey hit for 1-3, the goal coming from Oisin Talty who finished off a fine more involving Colin Lynch and Derek McMahon.
Cratloe battled back with the help of points from Robert Conlon, Cathal McInerney and Liam Markham but Lissycasey finished strongly and a second Oisin Talty goal right at the death completed the scoring.
