Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board’s Ennis campus offering great range of courses


IT’S that time of year again when Limerick and Clare Education and Training Board invites you to #FindTheBestInYou and choose a Further Education and Training course that will help you do just that.

With this in mind its College of Further Education and Training Ennis Campus has put together a superb offering this autumn, which will allow you to expand your options and develop skills you will need for your future career.

The modern campus is ideally located in Clonroad Business Park, just off the Clon Road in Ennis, providing a variety of relevant and innovative Further Education and Training courses for learners, local communities, and enterprise in Clare over the last 25 years.

Thanks to continuous expansion and renovation, learners at the college can avail of the very best of facilities as they embark on their career path through an extensive range of full-time and flexible, part-time offerings.

Courses on offer are ideal for unemployed early school leavers, adults returning to education, and those wishing to upskill in a new area who are employed or preparing for employment.

Courses vary from non-certified right up to QQI Level 6 Major Awards allowing for progression to further study, various employment routes as well as social engagement.

This autumn full-time day courses continue in the popular areas of Business, General Studies, Tourism, Health & Childcare and Art, Craft & Design.

The campus also responded to demand from the community in adding two new courses in the areas of STEM and Music which will prove very popular with learners.

Part-time day and evening courses on offer this autumn include Leaving Certificate, Business Management, Office & Medical Administration, Healthcare, Craft, Returning to Work, Money Matters, Beauty Therapy and Cookery.

There are also courses in Family Learning, English for Speakers of Other Languages, Exploring Family History, Horticulture for Beginners, Information Technology, Safe Pass, Sports, Recreation and Exercise and lots more.

The college also provides a fantastic free Information and Guidance Support Service for all learners. This service is a vital resource which will provide you with detailed information on the course you are interested in through one-to-one and group guidance sessions.

This can help you navigate your options and plan your future through funding, grants and other supports. Other excellent services include core skills support, supported work placements and our state-of-the-art self-access learning hub.

The courses take place in a range of modern settings including a science laboratory, a training kitchen, a training salon for hairdressing, a salon for beauty-related training and a technology room and new computer suites.

As one of the authority’s largest multi-provision centres in the region, Ennis campus has helped thousands of adult learners achieve their qualifications over the past 25 years.
