Irish Covid-19 Death Toll Rises by 25


The Health Protection Surveillance Centre has today been informed that 25 people diagnosed with COVID-19 in Ireland have died.

23 of the deaths were in the east of the country with two in the west.

The deceased included 11 females and 14 males, with 16 having an underlying condition

There have now been 288 COVID-19-related deaths in Ireland.

480 new cases of COVID-19 in Ireland have been confirmed, with the total number of confirmed cases now standing at 8089.

The total confirmed cases in Clare rose by one, with a total of 69 positive diagnoses in this county.
