STEVE Earle, the ‘hardcore troubadour’ will be playing in Glór on November 13.

Earle is known as an outstanding storyteller and his work has been recorded by Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Emmylou Harris, The Pretenders and Joan Baez.
He has just released Townes, the highly anticipated follow-up to the Grammy Award-winning Washington Square Serenade. The 15-song set is comprised of songs written by Earle’s friend and mentor, the late singer-songwriter, Townes Van Zandt.
The album was produced by Earle at his home in Greenwich Village and at studios in Nashville and Hollywood.
Earle’s first album, Guitar Town, was released in 1986. It reached number one in the country charts and led to the coining of the term ‘New Country’.
Since then, his career has seen another 12 releases, including the hard rock of Copperhead Road in 1988, Train A Comin’ in 1995, the politically-charged Jerusalem in 2002 and the two Grammy Award-winning albums The Revolution Starts…Now in 2004 and Washington Square Serenade in 2007. He also produced Joan Baez’ Grammy-nominated album Day After Tomorrow in 2008.
