Glór embraces artists with disabilities

THE annual Embrace art exhibition takes place from this Thursday to Friday, June 3 in Glór.
This special collection of visual art has been created as part of the Clare Arts Office Embrace Programme for arts and people with disabilities. The wide variety of work on display includes colourful mosaics; watercolour landscapes; self-portraits in oils; beautiful felt weavings and many abstract impressions.
The exhibition has grown this year and will be displayed in both the café and gallery areas, reflecting the great interest there has been in the Embrace Programme over the past year.
Mayor of Clare Christy Curtin will officially open the event on Thursday at 3pm. The Embrace Programme is supported by Clare County Council and the Arts Council of Ireland.
