INAGH-Kilnamona qualified from their group for the semi-final stage of Feile 2013. They had good wins over both Ballyea and Kilmaley in their group stage of 15 minutes-a-side games in Clarecastle.

Inagh-Kilnamona came out on top when playing Ballyea in the first game on a scoreline of 6-8 to 0-0. Ballyea were well in the game for the first 10 minutes but the dominance of midfielder Laoise Ryan, who scored a wonderful goal after a solo run from midfield and centre-back Sinéad Power ensured the sliotar never ventured past the half-back line during the first half.

Up front, both Chloe O’Neill and Chloe McNamara showed skill and determination, which was reflected in their combined overall score. This trend continued into the second half, when Inagh-Kilnamona played with a strong breeze. A switch for Roughan from full-back to the forwards resulted in Inagh-Kilnamona continuing their dominance up front.

Inagh-Kilnamona: Michelle Mescall; Eimear O’Looney, Micheala Roughan (0-1), Róisín Clancy; Ciara Hehir, Sinéad Power, Marie Flanagan; Áine Lynch, Laoise Ryan (1-1); Chloe McNamara (3-1), Chloe O’Neill (2-5), Ciara O’Connor; Alana O’Keeffe, Natasha Moloney, Cathy Cullinan.

In the second game, Inagh-Kilnamona’s opposition were neighbouring parish Kilmaley and this time they came out on top on a scoreline of 4-8 to 1-0.

Inagh-Kilnamona played with the aid of a strong breeze in the opening 15 minutes and, as a result, had a lead of 1-3 going into the break. Kilmaley rallied and scored a goal after some great teamwork but once again the Inagh-Kilnamona trio of Laoise Ryan, Chloe O’Neill and Chloe McNamara dominated in the midfield and half-forward lines from the start of second half.

Another great display from Sinead Power in the half backline and also Cathy Cullinan and Micheala Roughan ensured that Kilmaley would not penetrate their strong defence.
