Rineanna Rovers took the lead in this premier league tie with a goal from Danny Sweeney. Earlier they had a goal chance but Shane Collins made an excellent save.

Tulla were back on terms before half time thanks to Dara Corry. Both sides created chances in the second half when Tulla substitute goalie Paul Whelan – he replaced the injured Shane Collins – pulled off a great save.
Tulla played the last 20 minutes with ten players after Niall Whelan was sent off on a second yellow card.

The visitors led through a Mike O’Malley strike at half time. In the third quarter, Paul McEvoy hit the equaliser for the home side but Newmarket hit back quickly when Mike O’Malley struck for his second. Within two minutes, they were level again when substitute Fergal Lyons scored.

The all important goal came with fifteen minutes remaining and was scored by Marty McLoughlin/
