Enterprise board training programme

Clare County Enterprise Board has just launched its 2010 training brochure, which outlines a range of new programmes being run by the organisation.

The CCEB will offer a number of business-orientated programmes, including a start your own business seminar, start your own business programme, a management development programme and women in business management development programme.
Other training programmes available include an introduction to food hygiene – HACCP, a book-keeping programme, health and safety programme, marketing development programme, a diploma in project management, a diploma in human resources management, a diploma in operations management and an advanced food programme.
Meanwhile, a wide range of business seminars and workshops are held regularly to assist small to medium-sized enterprises. The enterprise board has also organised a free seminar on work-life balance during a recession, which will offer a free two-hour information session on how organisations can benefit from introducing work-life balance policies and arrangements.
The board has established networks for women and in 2008 set up the Mid-West Regional Engineering Network.
The women’s network is open to all women in business in Clare and provides a forum for women to meet on a regular basis and learn about best practice in running a small business.
The Mid-West Regional Engineering Network is specifically for engineering companies in the Mid-West region to help support the survival and development of the engineering businesses by promoting specific and practical training programmes, networking events and access to industrial information.
