Crusaders and Celtic share the spoils in league tie

INCH Crusaders and Kildysart Celtic played out a scoreless draw in their second-division tie at Cahercon on Sunday.

Inch had the better chances throughout but could not find a way past the Kildysart keeper, who had a great game. Inch thought they had scored a late winner through John Clohessy but were denied by an offside decision.
Kildysart had their best chance in injury time but were denied by Colm Ryan in the Inch goal. Both sides finished the game with 10 men after second bookable offences resulted in Clinton Keane from Inch and Rory Murphy from Kildysart being sent off.
Murphy was sent off after an hour, while Keane’s dismissal came in the closing minutes.

Robert Carey played a crucial role in Rangers’ victory at Ruan on Sunday. He set up all four goals for the West Clare outfit on a day when Gearóid Lynch had a hat-trick.
The winners led 1-0 at half-time after Lynch had opened the scoring and he added two early in the second half before Paul Heaslip had goal number four. All of Lynch’s scores were headed home after crosses from Carey.
Fergus Casey scored for the home side and was then sent off a few minutes later.
