This Cusack Cup Division 1 tie at Éire Óg on Sunday was just a few minutes old when play was stopped and the game held up for over half an hour after Éire Óg’s Brian Shannon suffered a suspected broken leg.

The home side had three points on the board before Clondegad opened their account through Paudge McMahon. They went ahead when McMahon finished off a fine move involving Eoin Griffin. Colm Gavin and James Murphy for the game’s only goal.
The teams were evenly matched in the second quarter and when the half time whistle sounded, they were level at 0-8 to 1-5.
In the second half, the winners had points from McMahon, Gary Brennan, Colm Gavin and Shane Brennan to seal a fine win.

Kilkee  0-9   St Joseph’s, Miltown  1-4
Kilkee picked up their second Cusack Cup win on the bounce to put them back in contention for a semi-final place.
Inspired by Micheál Keane, Chris Williamson and Michael O’Shea who kicked eight points between them, Kilkee recovered from the concession of a second half Miltown goal to record an important win.
Michael Barry scored the goal for the Miltown men, who now have four points along with Kilkee.
Darragh Kelly returned to the Kilkee line-up in the middle of the field, following a long absence through injury which ruled him out of last year’s county final.

Kilmurry Ibrickane  0-9   Liscannor  0-7
Although without some key players, Kilmurry Ibrickane still managed to pick up the points away to Liscannor last Saturday.
Ian McInerney and Stephen Moloney kicked seven of their nine points, while Shane Hickey and Peter O’Dwyer knocked over the remaining points.
Liscannor had Niall Considine back in their starting team and they relied principally on Kieran Considine and Alan Clohessy for scores.
To have a decent chance of staying up, Liscannor must win their next game. However they have a bye this weekend but at least should have Ronan Slattery back from suspension next time out.

Shannon Gaels  0-11   Cooraclare  0-4
Shannon Gaels picked up a crucial two points in Cooraclare last Saturday evening, when they outplayed the home team for most of the hour.
The Gaels led 0-5 to 0-0 at the interval having played with the wind into the scoreboard end.
Shane Tubridy, Barry Toner, and David Neylon scored the winners first half points as Cooraclare, who had Rory Donnelly back fit and playing, struggled to take some good chances.
The Gaels scored the first point of the second half as Toner, Neylon, John Paul O’Neill and Michael O’Donoghue added to their total.
Mark Tubridy pointed a brace of 45’s, while John Looney scored a good point from play for the home club.
