Clare radio presenter Michelle McMahon with SPIN South West has just received a nomination for a Meteor Ireland Music Award for her work on the SPIN @ Work show for the second year running.
Michelle has been nominated in the Best Regional DJ section and is the only female from the South West/ Munster region to be nominated in this category.
Michelle has been a presenter on the regional youth music station since its launch in July 2007. She originally presented the evening chart show, The Zoo Crew Hot 30, for which she and co-host Conor Quaid were nominated last year but in 2009 she moved on to host SPIN @ Work programme, which airs each morning at 9.45am.
Speaking on her nomination Michelle said, “I’m absolutely thrilled. It was wonderful to be included last year and I would never have expected to be nominated again this year, especially so soon after moving to a show on my own. It’s a testament to the work that goes in to making SPIN @ Work and SPIN South West as a whole a success, so I’m delighted I get to share in that.”
