Clare players help Munster to win

Munster 13
Connacht 12

Kilrush player James McInerney, who hails from Doonbeg, scored a try as Munster defeated Connacht in an U-18 inter-provincial tie last week.

It was a very exciting tie, with only a score between the sides throughout the contest.
Munster led 10-7 at half-time with a try from McInerney and a conversion and penalty from Shane O’Leary, a member of the Scariff club. The two Clare players formed the centre partnership in the three-quarter line for Munster.
Austin Gibbons scored a try for the visitors and Conor Fitzgibbon converted.
Tom Kiersey added a penalty for the home side to secure victory while Brian Fleming scored a second try for Connacht.
