The Clare Community Games Cross-country U-10 4x250m relays and U-13 1,200m were held at the Lees Road Sports Complex on Saturday.

CLARE’S minor doubles pairing of Colin Crehan and Niall Bolton booked a place in the All-Ireland final when they travelled to Wexford last weekend and defeated Slaneysiders Galen Riordan and Pádraig Foley, 21-5, 21-14. In the final, they will face Tyrone’s Paul Clarke and Gavin McCrystral.

THE 2012 captains and presidents at Woodstock drove into office on Sunday afternoon watched by a good turnout of members.

THERE were no surprises when four third-round games in the Clare Junior Cup title race were played on Sunday. Avenue United A and B, Newmarket Celtic A and Ennis Town Rock will all be in the hat when the quarter-final draw takes place next week. The remaining four quarter-finalists will be known after this weekend’s schedule of games.
