Clare County Council has confirmed it has signed a contract for the Lough Girroga Flood Relief Scheme adjacent to the Gort Road Business Park. The scheme is designed to alleviate the flooding experienced in November 2009 due to the overflow of Lough Girroga during the severe weather crisis experienced at that time.
