A CYCLING tour of the West of Ireland and a visit to its bogs are the inspiration behind Dutch artist Trudi van der Elsen’s Bog exhibition.

Although they are not participating in the Doonbeg Drama Festival this year, Kildysart Players have started rehearsals for this year’s production, a comedy by Jimmy Carey called Fortunes and Misfortunes.

THE 49th West Clare Drama Festival starts this Saturday evening in Doonbeg and will run until Monday, March 15.

FEIS Cheoil, Inis Cathaigh will be held at the Kilrush Adult Education Centre on Saturday, March 13.
