Mark Roche of Avenue Utd eyes posession with Niall Leamy.
Ten Clare Junior Cup ties were decided on Sunday last, despite the inclement weather conditions. There were no major surprises on a day when Avenue A had the biggest winning margin.
The eagerly awaited all-parish clash of Connolly Celtic and Kilmaley Fern Celtic fell foul of the weather and it has been refixed for this weekend in Kilmaley.

Mountshannon took the lead on 18 minutes after a cross from the left by John O’Brien was tucked away from 10 yards by Padraic Brody.
Coole’s answer was immediate, with Thiago Morais scoring his team’s goal of the season to date with a half-volley from 30 yards that hit the roof of the net.
Mountshannon then took control and showed why they are a Premier League side, with some quick, incisive passing that led to them scoring two more goals by half-time, the goals coming from Michael and Paul Dooley.

From then on, though Ennis Town dominated and got their reward on 30 minutes with an equaliser from Ciarán MacMathuna, who was first to react after the Rineanna keeper parried the initial shot. It remained 1-1 at the break.
After the restart the going got tough on the heavy pitch due to the heavy overnight and morning rain. This didn’t deter either team from trying to play football.
