A-maz-ing safety at ploughing championships

PREPARATIONS are underway this week for a farm safety maze at the National Ploughing Championships in Stradbally, County Laois, which is certain to be a highlight of everybody’s ploughing experience this year.

The maze, to educate visitors about the importance of farm safety, is a collaboration between Agri Aware, FBD, the IFA and ESB Networks.

Educating people of all ages about farm safety is vitally important, considering Ireland has over twice the number of farm accidents, when compared with other European countries

The farm safety maze will test patrons’ knowledge of farm safety. Everyone will be invited to answer key farm safety questions to reach the end point.

The maze will be open to the public throughout the three days of the event and is bound to attract both students and adults alike.

Visit the Farm Safety Maze at Row 23, Stand 330.
