50 confirmed Covid-19 cases in Clare


The Health Protection Surveillance Centre has confirmed that the number of positive cases for Covid-19 in Clare has risen to 50, representing 1.4% of the national percentage.

The latest figures, released today, also reveal that a further 22 patients diagnosed with the virus have died bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 120. There were also 424 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Ireland.

Of the latest fatalities, 18 deaths were located in the east, 3 in the south and 1 in the west of the country. The patients included 11 females and 11 males and 16 patients were reported as having underlying health conditions. The median age of today’s reported deaths is 80.

There are now 4,273 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Ireland.
