Up to 50 jobs to be created in Bunratty

EFG Inflight Ltd have been given the licence to operate a café at the newly renovated Limerick City Gallery of Art (LCGA) and it is also creating up to 50 jobs in Bunratty through the development of a new retail centre on the old Avoca site.
EFG Inflight Ltd is a privately owned independent company and has been in operation for four years at Knockbeg Point, Shannon Airport. Zest! is the retail arm of the company and it provides inflight food services for airlines at the airport. It will be behind the new jobs in Bunratty and the café in Limerick.
Regarding the development at Bunratty, financial director Fiona Barry said, “This is an indication of our long-term commitment to the area and our desire to create much-needed employment in the locality”.
Managing director, Ean Malone said the company is pleased with its new venture in Limerick. “Our retail brand Zest! has enjoyed tremendous success since opening in Ennis last year and we are keen to develop the brand further. Our new presence in Limerick at the LCGA will allow us to serve more of our customers who have been very loyal and supportive to us.
“Our success is testament to our wonderful staff and chefs, who have worked hard to build this brand and this will afford us an opportunity to create new lines and products. We thank Limerick City Council for the opportunity to work with them and we admire their vision and investment in the restoration of such a beautiful building.”
Director/curator of Limerick City Gallery of Art, Dr Pippa Little said, “Limerick City Gallery of Art is very pleased to be working with Zest! The gallery café significantly complements our visitor experience: an exciting exhibition programme of contemporary art; a significant collection of art from the 18th century to the present day and now an enhanced social experience with the opportunity for quality refreshments in a light-filled space.”
