Kelly and Duggan in starting line up

Tony Kelly and Peter Duggan have been named to start in the Clare team for tomorrow’s Allianz hurling league final against Waterford. They replace the injured John Conlon and Paul Flanagan. Elsewhere the team is unchanged from that which defeated Kilkenny in the semi-final Duggan is named at wing forward with Kelly named to play at full forward. A first start for O’Doherty

There are three changes in personnell and some positional switches on the Clare team for Sunday’s hurling league quarter final from the side which defeated Limerick to win promotion back to division 1 A two weeks ago. Into the side for his first action in this year’s campaign comes Ciaran O’Doherty from Crusheen who is named at corner back. The captain of Clare’s All-Ireland winning under 21 side in 2009 replaces Oisin O’Brien who is one of a number of squad members ruled out due to injury. Miltown’s Conor Cleary returns to the starting line up at centre back, replacing the injured David McInerney while, up front, Darach Honan replaces the injured Shane O’Donnell. Clare make four changes for clash with Laois

There are four changes in personnell on the Clare senior hurling team for this Saturday’s league clash with Laois at Portlaoise from that which started against Wexford last time out. Into the side come Andrew Fahy, Brendan Bugler, Aaron Cunningham and Bobby Duggan and they replace Patrick Kelly, Jack Browne, Aron Shanagher and Conor McGrath. Jack Browne is ruled out due to injury. Brendan Bugler will be making his first start since last summer. He has recently returned to action following surgery on his shoulder. Clare make six changes for Kerry visit

Clare hurling manager Davy Fitzgerald has named his starting 15 to face Kerry in round 3 of the Munster senior hurling league at O’Garney Park, Sixmilebridge, this Wednesday evening (7.30pm) It shows six changes in personnel from the team which started against Cork in round one Into the starting team comes Andrew Fahy, Pat Donnellan, Cian Dillon (team captain), Colin Ryan, Conor O’Donnell and Gearoid O’Connell and they replace Donal Tuohy, Jack Browne, Colm Galvin, Shane Golden, David Fitzgerald and Tony Kelly. John Conlon is named at centre forward this week, while  Cian Dillon will be at centre back, flanked by Donnellan and Jack Browne. There is a new midfield pairing of Gearoid O’Connell and David Reidy. In their two games to date, Kerry have gone under to Limerick and Cork. They scored 0-18 in each tie. The Clare senior hurling team to face Offaly in Saturday’s first round All-Ireland championship qualifiers shows four changes in personnell from the side which line out against Limerick in the opening round of the Munster championship in May Seadna Morey replaces Domhnall O’Donovan at corner back, Brendan Bugler returns from a one-match suspension to line out at wing back in place of the suspended Patrick Donnellan, Conor McGrath has recovered from a hamstring injury to take his place at corner forward in place of David Reidy, while Darach Honan starts at corner forward and this results in Gearoid O’Connell, who played at midfield against Limerick, dropping down to the substitutes bench. Into the team comes Patrick Kelly, Jack Browne, Seadna Morey and Colin Ryan and they replace Donal Tuohy, Brendan Bugler (suspended), Pat O’Connor (injured) and Shane Golden. Colin Ryan was unavailable for the Dublin game while Seadna Morey will be making his first start of this campaign. Joint team captain Pat Donnellan will line out at wing back where he impressed in the second half of the game against Dublin. Morey is named as midfield partner to Colm Galvin but may be asked to fill a sweeper’s role with Tony Kelly moving out to partner Galvin. Enforced changes for Clare

By Seamus Hayes Both the Clare senior hurling and football teams have been forced to make changes ahead of this weekend’s league action from the teams which tasted defeat last weekend. For this Saturday’s clash with Dublin in the hurling league in Cusack Park, Davy Fitzgerald and his management team have made two changes in personnel. Colin Ryan is unavailable and his place in the forward line goes to Aaron Cunningham while Donal Tuohy had been handed the goalkeeping position ahead of Pat Kelly. Tony Kelly, fresh from his man of the match performance in the mid week replay of the Fitzgibbon cup hurling final, will lead the hurlers attack while the captain of the winning University of Limerick team, David McInerney, will line out at corner back Meanwhile, football manager Colm Collins has been forced into one change with David Tubridy ruled out due to injury for the Banner side’s clash with Armagh on Sunday, also at Cusack Park. …

Five changes on hurling team for clash with Tipperary

By Seamus Hayes There are five changes in personnell and a number of positional changes to the Clare team for this weeks clash with Tipperary from that which lost to Cork in Pairc Ui Rinn two weeks ago. David McInerney, Tony Kelly, Conor McGrath, Paul Flanagan and Shane Golden come into the starting line up in place of Domhnaill O’Donovan, Jack Browne, Conor Cleary, David Reidy and Bobby Duggan. The positional switches see Brendan Bugler revert to wing back and Pat Donnellan revert to midfield after playing the opening two games further afield McInerney and Kelly return after injury while McGrath, a second half substitute in both of Clare’s openin games, will have his first start of the season.
