Changes to Clare senior and minor hurling teams

The Clare senior and minor hurling management teams have announced changes to the starting line ups for Sunday’s crucial games with Limerick from the sides which played Tipperary in Thurles last week Following their hugely impressive performances when introduced last week, Podge Collins and Seadna Morey have been included in the starting senior line up for Sunday’s game at Cusack Park. They replace David Fitzgerald and Conor McGrath in a side that is otherwise unchanged from that which started last week The team is Donal Tuohy (Crusheen) Patrick O’Connor (Tubber),  David McInerney (Tulla) Jack Browne (Ballyea); Seadna Morey (Sixmilebridge), Conor Cleary (Miltown St. Josephs) , Jamie Shanahan (Sixmilebridge); Colm Galvin (Clonlara), Cathal Malone (Sixmilebridge); Peter Duggan (Clooney-Quin), Tony Kelly (Ballyea), David Reidy (Éire Óg); Podge Collins (Cratloe), John Conlon (Clonlara). Clare unchanged but Tipp make three changes

The Clare team to play Tipperary in the Munster senior hurling championship at Semple stadium in Thurles on Sunday is unchanged for that which was named to face Waterford two weeks ago. Hurling team shows five changes

The Clare senior hurling team to play Waterford at Walsh Park on Sunday will show five changes from that which started against Wexford last time out. Patrick O’Connor, David Fitzgerald and Tony Kelly return to the side having missed the Wexford tie due to injury (OConnor) and the Fitzgibbon cup final. Up front Ian Galvin and Conor McGrath come in for Niall Deasy and Conor McGrath. Midfielder Colm Galvin is ruled out due to injury. Clare make two changes for clash with Wexford

The Clare team to play Wexford in round 4 of the Allianz hurling league features two changes from the side that beat Cork in Cusack Park last weekend. Cathal Malone comes in for Tony Kelly at midfield while Jason McCarthy replaces team captain Patrick O’Connor at corner back. Two changes to hurling team for Cork visit

There are two changes to the starting line up for Clare hurlers for their Allianz round 3 division 1 hurling league against Cork at Cusack Park on Sunday from the team which started against Kilkenny two weeks ago. Michael O’Malley (Kilmaley) and Niall Deasy (Ballyea), both introduced in Nowlan park, have been retained to the exclusion of David Fitzgerald and Cathal Malone who have both been impressive in the victories over Tipperary and Kilkenny. Andrew Fahy will wear the substitute goalkeeper’s jersey for this one Malone picked up an injury when helping U. The Clare senior hurling team to play Cork tomorrow in round 2 of the Munster league shows ten changes to the starting line up from that which faced Kerry last week Patrick Kelly (Inagh-Kilnamona) replaces Donal Tuohy in goal, Eoin Quirke (Whitegate) and team captain Patrick O’Connor (Tubber) come in for Jack Browne and Rory Hayes in the corner back positions while David Fitzgerald (Inagh-Kilnamona) and Seadna Morey (Sixmilebridge) are named aright and left wing back respectively in place of Diarmuid Ryan and Mikey O’Malley. There are three changes in personnell on the Clare team to play Tipperary in the All-Ireland senior hurling quarter final at Pairc Ui Caoimh on Saturday from that which lost to Cork in the Provincial final two weeks ago As expected, injury has ruled full back David McInerney out of the team while both Oisin O’Brien and Aron Shanagher have been omitted from the side which started against Cork. In fact Shanagher has failed to find a place in the match day twenty six. Crusheen’s Cian Dillon returns to the starting line up and he has been named at corner back with team captain Pat O’Connor taking over at full back in place of the injured McInerney. Changes on both Clare hurling teams

The Clare teams to play Cork in Sunday’s Munster senior and minor finals against Cork show two changes from that which started their respective semi-finals against Limerick Oisin O’Brien returns to the senior team after injury and he comes in at wing back in place of Gearoid O’Connell who, surprisingly, has failed to find a place in the match day twenty six. The other change sees Cathal Malone named at midfield in place of David Reidy. the expectation is that Malone will be at wing forward with Tony Kelly moving out to partner Colm Galvin in the middle of the field.  It had been speculated that Peter Duggan or Niall Deasy would be called into the attack.
