‘Rusty’ to remain at the ‘Bridge helm

THE annual general meeting of Sixmilebridge GAA Club will resume next week when members will appoint team managements for the 2010 season.

Former club and county star, Christy ‘Rusty’ Chaplin is favourite to be re-appointed as senior team boss for a second term.
The ’Bridge have had a few lean years as senior level but success in a number of underage grades, including the winning of the U-21A crown in 2009, suggests that bright days are ahead for the club.
Rusty’s older brother Danny has just been appointed a Clare senior selector in Ger O’Loughlin’s management team.
Another former Sixmilebridge and county star, Seán Stack managed the club’s U-21 team to county honours last year and he has been re-appointed to this role for 2010.
