KILRUSH Community School will host a special meeting of Kilrush Town Council this Thursday morning at 9.30am.

The meeting is intended to show students how the town council works and what role the nine elected town councillors play in implementing strategy to run the town.
All nine councillors will attend and address the meeting. They will speak on a variety of issues, with Mayor of Kilrush Marian McMahon Jones informing students what her role entails and how standing orders are implemented at meetings.
Thursday’s meeting will also be attended by Kilrush town manager, Nora Kaye, and Kilrush town clerk John Corry, who will explain the function of the town council executive.
The monthly Kilrush Town Council meeting will take place next Wednesday evening in Kilrush Town Hall at 7pm.
