Killaloe gears up for Plectrum Festival

THE fourth annual Plectrum Music Festival takes place on Saturday, July 2 at Smith O’Brien’s GAA grounds in Killaloe.
The festival is run by a group of young people aged 14 to 21 and aims to promote links between positive mental health and music.
The event is extremely youth friendly taking place during the local family festival Féile Brian Boru.
A variation of unsigned acts from all over the country including Clare, Limerick, Dublin, Donegal, Roscommon and Wexford will take  to the stage on the day.
This year’s line-up promises to be even better than the last and with genres ranging from blues-influenced rock and pop to acoustic and metal, there will be something for everyone.
The event is not for profit, with all money going back into funding the following year and other youth projects in the area.
Tickets will be available on the gate but are available at a reduced cost if pre-booked by texting your name to 087 9868957.
For more information see Plectrum Music Festival on Facebook, email Plectrummusicfestival@gmail.com or contact Rebeckha on 087 9868957.
