Hunt is on for Clare Rose

The Clare Rose Centre is seeking entrants from all over the county to compete for this year’s Clare Rose title.
Local businesses, sporting organisations and professional groupings are invited to take part in what promises to be a memorable Rose selection event.

The overall winner of the Rose of Tralee competition will not only hold the coveted title for a year but will also win a range of prizes including a car for a year and jewellery products.
The current Rose of Tralee, Charmaine Kenny, said the whole experience from becoming the London Rose through to the Rose tour and the Rose of Tralee International Festival itself was “amazing”.
“This past year I have been involved in some extraordinary events, such as my trip to Malawi with VSO and to Belarus with The Chernobyl Children’s Project, as well as attending many events at home. I am looking forward to my upcoming trip to India with Suas,” she explained.
“I can’t believe the amount of fun I am having being the Rose of Tralee. I would encourage every woman who is eligible to enter, as it is a fantastic experience and I have made lifelong friends throughout my travels.”
Ciaran O’Connell of the Clare Rose Centre encouraged anyone interested in entering the Clare County Rose selection to get in touch. “It is such a unique opportunity to represent your local community and county. I would urge any young woman who would love to get involved in a unique experience and to be an ambassador for her peers, to apply,” he said.
An application form for the Clare Rose competition is available from the festival website at www.roseoftralee.ie. For further information, contact the Clare Rose Centre at theclarerose@gmail.com or 086 3871635.
