The Carlow woman also holds a healing clinic in Ennis and says the Burren is “very special” to her. The book contains pictures of renowned natural features and spiritual sights around the country and Jane credits much of her recovery from a decade of illness to increased engagement with nature. It also has spiritual messages accompanying the photographs, which she says have been channelled through her.
She suffered ME for years which had a very severe impact upon her life, but that is in the past now.
“I feel fantastic, thankfully, never better. Most people don’t look at the whole body, most people with ME start off with back problems. It all goes back to the structure of the back and the posture. I had ten times the safe level of mercury, I had fluoride poisoning from the water, I had organo phosphate poisoning from sheep dip. The endocrine system goes wrong as a result of that and it sends the immune and digestive system off. It’s all a bit of a chicken and egg as to what’s first. I also had three viruses.”
Jane found a lot of gaps in relation to the provision of help to ME sufferers and she learned some techniques that made a huge difference.
“The problem is that people don’t get answers early enough, there isn’t early intervention so people get worse and worse. I started learning the techniques myself. I went to a specialist in Manchester who did the Perrin technique, I learned a technique called TBM, Total Body Modification. It’s a vibrational healing technique from the United States and those two techniques made the biggest difference.”
She believes all things on the earth are interconnected. “The idea is that the whole planet is vibrational. That we are vibrational, that the trees are vibrational, so everything is energy and if you can tune into the waves or the trees or the mountains they will say things to you and give you inspiration. By reading those messages people feel better and there’s a vibration in the message.
“If you speak to a small child and you say something cross they can pick up the vibration in the sound, if you say something positive it’s the same. It’s that kind of idea, how the vibration effects people even though they can’t see it.”
She said compiling the book wasn’t that big of a step for her. “Part of me getting better was going into nature, feeling the energy from nature, seeing the sacred sights of nature and getting the healing from nature, that’s what it’s about. I was in publishing so it was a natural thing for me to put a book together.”
