She has a younger brother, Dylan, aged 16.
This week, she also started her third level studies in Business and French at the University of Limerick. She is a past pupil of Laurel Hill Coláiste in Limerick.
“I’m delighted to have been selected as Miss Clare and didn’t expect it at all. I was asked by one of the organisers if I’d be interested in entering and when I thought about it I decided I’d enter, but I had no idea I’d win. I went to the Miss Limerick selection to see what it would be like and I realised that it’s not just about image, but also about personality and confidence. I think all of the girls at Miss Clare were stunning and I’m shocked that I won,” Alice said.
She said that she is very much looking forward to the Miss Ireland competition and getting to meet the other contestants. “I would love the opportunity to travel to China to represent Ireland in Miss World, but I know the standard will be very high in Miss Ireland. I hardly dare to dream that I might win, because there are so many beautiful girls in the competition. For now, I’m focused on Miss Ireland and getting ready for that. It is very exciting and I’m getting great support from everyone I meet. My parents too are delighted and are being very supportive. It will be a busy time until Miss Ireland, but it’s a great opportunity and I’m honoured to have the title,” she added.
