Car Tourismo Banner

A GREAT year was recalled at a well-attended annual general meeting of Whitegate GAA in the clubhouse last Friday night.
Highlights of the club’s year included a successful run in the Clare Champion Cup; gaining promotion to Division 1 and intermediate championship honours in October in Cusack Park. On the same day the junior B championship was captured with a narrow win in a thrilling final in Tulla.
Both teams then progressed to Munster championship action where the intermediate team had a victory over Carrick-Davins before losing out to South Liberties in the Munster semi-final. In December the Junior B team were beaten in their semi-final by St Mary’s, Rathkeale.
At under-age level the club continues to be competitive at all levels on its own and with renewed effort can build towards further success having reached the U-12 final last year.
